PROJECTS DETAILS

PROJECT OVERVIEW

This project involved converting an unused loft space into a fully functional living area for a home in Stevenage. The brief was to maximise headroom, improve insulation and create a clean exterior finish that blended seamlessly with the existing roofline. The build was carried out from initial structural works through to the final natural slate installation.

WHAT WE DELIVERED

A complete loft conversion build including:

  • Structural modifications to open up the loft space
  • New dormer construction for additional head height
  • Full installation of natural slate to all exterior faces
  • High-grade insulation for increased comfort and energy efficiency
  • New joists, rafters and supporting timbers
  • Preparation for electrics, heating and interior finishing

OUR APPROACH

Working closely with the homeowner, we ensured the design met both planning requirements and the client’s practical needs. Traditional roofing methods were used to achieve a clean, durable slate finish. The project was delivered efficiently and safely, with all works completed while maintaining minimal disruption to the home.

TIMELINE

Completed over 12 weeks, covering all structural, roofing and exterior finishing works.

THE VISION

The client wanted to transform unused loft space into a practical, comfortable room while achieving a modern, durable exterior that added value to the home.

THE RESULT

The finished loft conversion delivered a stronger, brighter and more usable space with a beautifully detailed natural slate exterior. The new dormer blends seamlessly with the property, improving both functionality and long-term weather protection.
